Jaime Schehr RD, CDN, ND (Cand)

Jaime Schehr is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Dietitian Nutritionist practicing in New York City. She is excited to be in her final year of medical school in Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport. Jaime completed her B.S in Health and Nutrition from Springfield College in Ma. She then went on to receive a graduate fellowship to study sports nutrition at the University of Nebraska, where she worked with Division I athletes on maximizing performance through nutrition. As a competitive athlete throughout her life and at the collegiate level Jaime understands the importance of a healthy lifestyle and the influence food and nutrition has on our body. She is dedicated to addressing the individual needs of her patients and giving a whole body approach to health.



Ann Lee, ND (Cand)

Ann Lee is entering into her final year of study for her dual degree in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine (UBCNM). She is originally from Lancaster, Pa., and graduated from Bucknell University with a degree in chemical engineering. Prior to naturopathic medical school, Ann worked at a major pharmaceutical company in raw material vaccines, clinical supply operations and technology transfer. Her extracurricular activities at UBCNM include participation in the Naturopathic Medical Student Association and the National Society of Leadership and Success.



Jennifer Monteleone, ND (Cand)

Jennifer Monteleone is originally from Victoria, Canada. She is in her 4th year of Naturopathic Medicine and is also working towards her acupuncture degree both at the University of Bridgeport. She has also been trained in Cranial Sacral Therapy. She received her BSc in Biology at the University of Victoria. Her professional experience has been in Ophthalmology and Gastroenterology clinics. These experiences, including her naturopathic medicine education have taught her that treating the whole person involves ensuring that the mental, emotional and physical levels are harmonized. These are important aspects in creating overall well being.



Maura Henninger, ND (Cand)

Maura Writes a blog about the UB Shift

Maura Henninger is a third-year student at University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and an intern in the clinic there. She is a Craniosacral Therapy practitioner with a special interest in endocrinology and is pursuing professional interests in nutrition, homeopathy, mind-body counseling, among other treatment modalities. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and worked for several years as magazine editor and writer before answering a calling to naturopathic medicine.



Julia O'Sullivan, ND (Cand)

Julia Ann O’Sullivan is a native of New York City, and thrilled to be a member of the first Personalized Medicine Shift taught by Dr. Peter D’Adamo. She holds a Baccalaureate with double major in Health Sciences and Human Services from the State University of New York and a Master’s degree in Theology from the Maryknoll Seminary in Ossining, NY. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Naturopathic Medicine at the University of Bridgeport’s College of Naturopathic Medicine, and continues towards her doctorate in Theology. She will soon be a candidate for research fellow status at the Yale Divinity School. Julia began her medical career as a laboratory technologist at The Animal Medical Center in NYC, where she specialized in clinical and research work in the areas of hematology, bacteriology and histology, precepted doctors in lab studies, helped develop new diagnostic techniques and assisted in human medical research conducted through The Rockefeller Institute and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She then went on to administrative medicine and ran a series of medical education seminars nationwide, in addition to acting as Assistant Manager for the Greater New York Blood Program in NYC. Her clinical work began in hospital while a teenager, and developed through study and patient work in phlebotomy, nutrition, psychology, bodywork and pastoral counseling. In addition to her degrees she holds licensure in both NY and CT in massage therapy, with a specialty in Lymphatic Drainage. Before coming to Bridgeport to study medicine formally, she acted as Director of Admissions and taught Anatomy & Physiology, Pathology, Ethics and Massage Therapy at the Swedish Institute in NYC, owned a private practice in medical massage, and collaborated with several doctors and chiropractors in patient care. While studying at UBCNM and working with Dr. D’Adamo in clinic she interns at the Yale-Griffin Prevention Research and Integrative Medicine Center at Griffin Hospital, Derby, CT, and acts as on-call Chaplain at Yale-New Haven Hospital. As able, she speaks and writes on topics relating to spirituality and medicine, teaches CPR/First Aid and Blood-Borne Pathogens for the American Red Cross, and acts as a Disaster Supervisor. She was awarded Fellow status with Dr. D’Adamo’s Institute for Human Individuality in July of 2009, and plans to qualify for Master’s status in 2011.
